There will be five assignments during the course of the semester. Each assignment will focus on the skill learned in class during the week and build on skills and concepts learned in previous weeks. These assignments will be initiated in class and are due at the end of the following week.
For each assignment you will earn points. The more points you have earned, the more you have learned. Your grade will be based on the total number of points you accumulate during the semester. Assignments will be worth a total of 500 points.
Students in BIO539 will also do a project (worth 500 points) involving:
(1) Exploratory analysis of research data (submitted as an Rmarkdown or Jupyter notebook and including explanations)
(2) One of the following:
(3) A Github repository with a Readme so that the analysis can be replicated in full.
